Hi. I’m Jenn and I love being outside. I think being outside matters.
I guess I always have, ever since my childhood days growing up on the beaches of Nassau, Bahamas, to the woodland forests of my hometown Asheville, in Western North Carolina, to eventually moving west.
My love for mountains begin in the Smokey Blue Ridge and Appalachians, eventually the rugged rockies of Colorado, which brought me north west to Whistler, Vancouver, and eventually Squamish, British Columbia in Western Canada. I studied Psychology and after finishing my degree, decided to study Horticulture and Landscape Design on a whim at a hippy community college in Haywood County, NC. After working in nursery/retail sales, specialty garden maintenance, and office support for a landscape construction firm, I launched my own business in 2008 and have never looked back.
I grew up outside and today, my passion in landscape design & garden development desires to connect you with outdoor living. I believe in the power of the outdoors to refresh us, calm us, invigorate, nourish, and heal us. Whether it’s a commercial balcony project, providing interest and beauty to an office setting, a back yard for a family who want to entertain friends, a daycare playground, or an estate needing long term management and garden development, my goal is to first listen. Listen to my clients, listen to the land, listen to the story and then create.
I’ve worked with + along side of + and for some of Vancouver’s best in this field and enjoy building relationships with a variety of talent both in design and build. I’m a budget focused designer and a financial strategist with the goal of cognizance towards your project and roi.
